The PADI Open Water Diver Experience
Ever wondered what lies beneath the waves? Ever wished you could get into the water and see it like the fishes do? Do you have a burning desire for intense adventure; to visit beautiful, untouched places and to see and do things no ordinary person will ever get to experience?
If your answer is yes, then you were probably born to scuba dive, and the PADI Open Water Diver your entry into a whole new world beneath the blue.

Why PADI Open Water?
As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional to a depth of 18m.
If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program. Check out the PADI Open Water Diver Video!

Pre-requisites
- At least 13 years old
- Able to swim 200m without use of swimming aids
- Able to tread/float for 10 minutes without use of flotation devices
- No pre-existing medical conditions
- Participants with medical history, approval from licensed physician required

Theory Session
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is made up of three components.
- Theory Component
- Confined Water (pool) Component
- Practical Dive
The Theory and Pool component can be done independently of each other.
Theory Modules

There are two parts to the Theory Component of the Open Water Certification
Theory Session: Wednesdays 6.45pm - 10.45pm
- PADI tutorial video encompassing all topics in the Open Water Diver Syllabus
- Quizzes to reinforce the learning points in the video
- Instructor-Student Question & Answer
Theory Examination
- A simple 50 question MCQ test to ensure familiarity, re-doable at your own time until you pass

- The Essentials: Pool Session

Pool Session

You will get to learn and practice all essential skills including
- Equipment Management
- Entry and Exit
- Surface Skills
- Breathing and Air Management
- Mask Techniques
- Buoyancy and Underwater Movement
- Standard Hand Signals
in a safe and controlled freshwater environment. Our instructor to student ratios are optimized so that every student will be able to learn that their own pace and only move on when they have safely and effectively mastered the skill sets.
No personal equipment is required.
1 Session, Sundays 9.45am - 4.00pm

- The Essentials: The Dive Itself

This Is Where The Fun Begins
Friday
- Take a chartered bus to Mersing Jetty, Malaysia
- Relax on the ferry ride to the Dive Resort (about 40 nautical miles from the mainland) (be sure to check out the stars!)
- Arrive at the resort, unload equipment, get your room assignment, and rest up for the night
Saturday
- Wake up to a postcard perfect view
- Get on the boat after a hearty breakfast
- 3 Dives where you will have the chance to demonstrate the skills you learnt with your instructor.
- Relax in the evening after dinner with friends and beer

Sunday
- Complete 2 final dives before lunch
- Earn your PADI Open Water Diver's Certification
- Start return trip to Singapore
- Reach home by 9pm
- Congratulations! You are now an PADI Open Water Diver

Timing
Departs every Friday, 7pm and returns every Sunday, 9pm from Meeting point is at 37b Hongkong Street Level 3, subject to changes.
